Hmmm. This could be a huge nothingburger as Allahpundit seems to think:
“we’re pleased to announce that the share of total users able to enroll on the site has risen from two percent to three.”
…Or it could be something as substantial as an announcement that ObamaCare will be delayed – as Ace fears, (considering that secret ObamaCare meeting with panicky Senate Democrats, yesterday.)
I think the “direct” and “spicy” meeting with Senate Democrats might have included the threat, “Give us a delay or we’ll start voting with the Republicans on the If You Like Your Plan You Can Keep It bill,” which would of course destroy Obamacare (and the American insurance industry, too, at least until Obama permitted the repeal of his horrible law).
But he updated to note, that ‘there are lots of “Major Announcements” she could make, like holding open the enrollment period by another couple of months, or announcing they’re not going to make their November 30th completion date.’
I’m thinking it will be some kind of nuanced announcement about enrollment data for October, since as Allah noted, “Dave Camp issued a subpoena two days ago demanding that it be released by Friday.”
Obama in Dallas, last night, did not sound like someone who was in the process of delaying his “signature achievement” – more like doubling down and “sticking with it.”
“As challenging as this may seem sometimes, as frustrating as healthcare.gov may be sometimes, we are going to get his done,” Obama said.
