BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – A 77-year-old Bridgeville man was arrested by Delaware State Police over the weekend for his 11th DUI offense. Troopers say that Ruppert Bell Jr. was arrested Saturday evening after he was seen swerving repeatedly into the northbound lane of Coverdale Road just north of Hastings Farm Road.
A computer search by police revealed that Bell had 10 previous DUI convictions dating back to 1987.
He was also charged with speeding, driving while suspended or revoked and other charges. He is currently resting at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $16,102 cash bond.
