CLEVELAND – A 22-year-old mother was arrested after allegedly placing her infant daughter in an oven on Wednesday night. Lalier M. Dillon was charged with domestic violence, escape, endangering children and resisting arrest after a witness said he saw her put the baby in the oven at her home at around 7:30 p.m.
The witness then removed the child from the oven, which was not turned on, and placed her on the kitchen floor. According to the police report, Dillon scooped up the baby and placed her in a trash can. The witness told police he took the baby to a neighbor’s house where he called police.
The police report states that Dillon told witnesses she was “sick of her kids.” She also said she had plans to duct tape them. Dillon received additional charges after she slipped out of one of her handcuffs while in the police cruiser. When an officer opened the door, she kicked him and tried to escape, according to the report.
