Rasmussen reports that more than half of U.S. voters polled want to delay the requirement that everyone must purchase health insurance.
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on October 22-23, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
While they claim that support for a delay is “down,” it should be noted that that’s in the face of the administration’s full court press for Obamacare. With new problems emerging almost daily and many now pointing out ObamaCare’s negative impact on health insurance costs – driving it up, not down as promised – the fight over ObamaCare is most likely far from over.
As technical failures bedevil the rollout of President Obama’s health care law, evidence is emerging that one of the program’s loftiest goals — to encourage competition among insurers in an effort to keep costs low — is falling short for many rural Americans.
