Police: Labor Dispute Behind LAX Dry Ice Explosions

Police claim a disgruntled employee with a labor dispute is behind two dry ice explosions at Los Angeles International Airport.

They have not as yet identified the suspect.

Deputy Chief Michael Downing says authorities do not believe the explosions are linked to terrorism, but could be linked to a labor dispute. Downing says the bombs, which were made by putting dry ice in 20-ounce bottles, could have caused serious injury to anyone in close proximity, though no one was hurt.

Police are treating them as seriously as if they were pipe bombs.
