During an appearance with Conan O’Brien last week, comedian and television star Louis C.K. took five minutes to rail against smartphones. In the days since, the YouTube of the appearance has gone viral to the point where ABC’s World News Tonight picked it up. Practically everyone is raving over the brilliance of the segment, but for the life of me I don’t understand why.
I must be missing the genius of a guy who apparently believes it is better to break down crying to a Bruce Springsteen song while stopped at a red light than it is to send a friend a text:

Other than the fact that C.K. is obviously the kind of troubled millionaire celebrity who has crying jags behind the wheel of an automobile, I am missing the brilliant insights here.
It is pretty sad what passes for bigthinks these days.
