Hours after Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the Fukushima plant and ordered its two remaining reactors decommissioned, an earthquake, magnitude 5.8, struck the area.

Video posted to You Tube from a live camera set up by the Tokyo Electric Power Company shows the camera at the plant shaking as the quake hit around 2:25am local time. (Note: This is a time compressed version of the event running at 20x regular speed–see timecode up top. A 2x version of the same event does not appear to be available.)

In March 2011, a massive magnitude 9.0 earthquake created a tsunami which killed more than 15,000 people and caused reactor meltdowns at Fukushima. Two of the reactors, 5 and 6, were not operational at the time of the tsunami and were not damaged. Those are the two which Prime Minister Abe ordered decommissioned yesterday.
