Ignoring opposition to Barack Obama’s Syria mis-adventure from liberal Democrats like Joe Manchin and Alan Grayson and even fellow MSNBC host Chris ‘I’m not Rachel’ Hayes, MSNBC’s Ed Schultz is placing the blame on alleged GOP racism.
“I really believe that everything that we have said on this show are reasonable, patriotic reasons to be against another war, another strike, another act of war–and that’s what it is–but hatred of our first black president is not.”
While just another sad level on the pillar-to-post host’s decline into the sub-basement of television ratings, another news item makes it very clear who judges people, not by the content of their character, as Dr. King wished, but by the color of their skin.
The nomadic Schultz has sat in three time slots in the past year alone. He was supposed to be a savior for MSNBC’s failing 5:00 PM spot. Instead, because of 5th grade comments like this, he’s getting pummeled by Fox in his time slot of the month–and by CNN as well.
That’s right, notable Hollywood doves such as Ed Asner and Mike Farrell are “extremely” disappointed in Barack Obama for his position on Syria, going so far as to claim it would be a war crime if he acts. But they don’t want to be too vocal in their opposition because, … well, that might be perceived as “racist.”
It might be perceived that way, but evidently only by not-so-color-blind Progressives such as MSNBC’s Ed Schultz.

The good news for President Barack Obama as he considers a military response against Syria for using chemical weapons against rebels is that he probably won’t have to deal with a similar anti-war movement from Hollywood.
