IONIA, MICH. – The former minister of a Michigan church who allegedly admitted to police that he murdered his fiancee’s 24-year-old daughter so he could have sex with her dead body, has committed suicide.
A spokesman for the Department of Corrections said that 56-year-old John D. White hanged himself in his cell at the Michigan Reformatory in Ionia.
White had been sentenced to at least 56 years in prison for the death of Rebekah Gay.
