COLORADO SPRINGS – According to police, an intoxicated man crashed his truck into the exterior of Cleats Bar and Grill just after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers were initially called to the scene after reports of a disturbance between customers. Upon arriving, they were told the suspect had driven into the building before speeding away.
Officers caught up with the suspect not far from the scene where he refused to pull over. After a brief pursuit, he drove into a dead end and was arrested. The suspect, 30-year-old Matthew Green, faces charges of DUI, vehicular eluding and felony criminal mischief.
It’s not clear whether he drove into the bar intentionally.
