McAuliffe Refuses to Take a Position on Highway Project

 

Virginia’s Democratic Gubernatorial Nominee Terry McAuliffe would not explain his stance on a highway project at a Chamber of Commerce forum. Instead he chose to argue with WUSA’s Derek McGinty why he will not make a decision on the issue. According to The Washington Post: 

McAuliffe chafed, however, when challenged by debate moderator Derek McGinty, news anchor at Washington’s WUSA-TV, to take a position on a major, controversial northern Virginia highway project, the proposed Bi-County Parkway. “You’re the one who wants to be governor, Mr. McAuliffe. Don’t you owe them a real position?”
