Eliot Spitzer, candidate for New York City Comptroller, has released a new television ad designed to show his humble, contrition in light of the prostitution scandal that brought down his governorship and forever labeled him as “Client #9”:
After the “mea culpa” moment Spitzer pivots to typical liberal, class warfare rhetoric by demonizing any critics as being motivated not be a genuine distaste for his behavior and his violation of the public trust, but by their own personal greed and desire to violate the law and avoid “The Sheriff of Wall Street”:
“So if you hear any negative noise out there, and you will. Keep in mind where it’s coming from. Maybe being hated by the Wall Street firms isn’t such a bad thing. “
