Police: Rabbi Poses As Cop In Road Rage Tirade, Pulls Woman Over For Driving Too Slow

MARMARONECK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A rabbi at the Congregation Sulam Yaakov in Larchmont was arraigned on Wednesday and faces felony charges for impersonating a police officer. Rabbi Alfredo Borodowski reportedly fell victim to road rage after becoming frustrated with a 24-year-old woman for driving too slowly.

He allegedly pulled up alongside the woman’s car, flashed a fake police badge, and began aggressively shouting at her to pull over.

According to the woman’s attorney, his client did in fact pull over but did not get out of the car.  Instead, she called police who responded immediately.

The woman said she was driving 20 mph which was the posted speed limit in the area.  She also expressed a desire for justice and wants others to take action when they feel targeted.

Rabbis are generally not known to be aggressive in the North Eastern United States.
