MACEDONIA, Ohio – A cat rescued from a trailer fire Tuesday afternoon, was revived by firefighters using a pet-sized oxygen mask. Firefighters fitted the cat with the specially designed mask after finding the feline unconscious but still breathing.
According to Fire Chief Tim Black, the cat showed signs of life and was taken to a local vet to be stabilized and given oxygen therapy. The charred cat is expected to make a full recovery.
Two other cats and a bird were not so lucky. They perished in the blaze.
