Driver Pulled Over Doing 112 MPH Tells Police He Was Drying His Car

(AP) BLACK DIAMOND, Alberta – A 67-year-old Canadian man, who told Mounties that he was driving 112 mph to dry off his newly washed car, was fined $800 and his driving privileges suspended for 45 days.

The incident occurred on Highway 22 when Mounties pulled the man over for doing 180 kilometers per hour, which is exactly the same as 112 miles per hour.
