Former Governor Jeb Bush said he would need another year at least to decide if he were to run for the presidency in 2016.
Bush, the son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush, said he would need at least another year to decide whether to seek the White House in 2016.
Bush was speaking to Michigan business and government leaders on a Lake Huron Resort Island. “But he said regardless of whom the GOP chooses as its standard-bearer, its success will depend partly on taking a more welcoming stand toward immigrants.”
Continuing on and addressing the current immigration debate Bush said, “It’s not the American way to keep people in the shadows,” he said. “If you’re sending a signal that we want your vote but you really can’t join our club … it’s not the right way to win,” Bush said.
