Video: Congressman Trey Gowdy Less Than Enthused By Mark Sanford

Trey Gowdy was interviewed by a reporter for the Washington Post earlier today about the potential for a Mark  Sanford win in the special election for Tim Scott’s seat in SC district 1, and the congressman was less than enthusiastic to say the least. As the Washington Post put it, “some Republican lawmakers dare not speak the name of the next potential member of their caucus. Fellow South Carolinian Rep. Trey Gowdy (R- S.C.) declined to mention Sanford by name in an interview focused on Benghazi.”

Now that Sanford has been elected, I trust Republican lawmakers will eventually break down and speak his name.
