New York Offering $500 to Gun Snitches?

WRGB in Albany has a story claiming New York is offering money to people who will rat out illegal gun owners.  (H/T to  Mental Recession)  

Pat Bailey a reporter from CBS 6 in Albany tweeted the following:

 

Bailey went on to say that the Governor’s office says the program is over a year old, but NYS Rifle and Pistol Association were unaware of the program, calling it a “well kept secret.”
