This AP photo from Charles Dharapak shows a “Flat Stanley” in the East Room of the White House, where President Obama held a Women’s History Month reception Monday.
Flat Stanley is a common project in elementary schools today; students take pictures in various locations of a little flat figure whose appearance is based on the main character of a 1964 children’s book of the same name. Their teachers encourage them to take their Flat Stanleys wherever they travel and find unique picture locations.
Whoever’s mom this is just made all their classmates’ Stanley entries look lame. THANKS OBAMA.
