Why the LA Times Matters: Location, Location, Location

In response to Koch Bros. to Buy LA Times?:

I think this is a fantastic idea.  If the Koch Brothers were to buy the Los Angeles Times I think it would be a wonderful opportunity for conservatives to get their message out on the Left Coast.  I don’t think the Times would automatically become The Washington Times (DC’s conservative paper), but I assume management would be more open to conservative voices, as well as cultivating conservative reporters in other sections.  It would be a helpful model for how conservatives should be covering the non-A sections of life — Arts, Style, Culture, Sports, etc.  We’ve proven that we can do opinion and investigative journalism.  I’d really like to see conservatives learn how to cover the non-A sections with knowledge, integrity and humor.
