In response to FLOTUS Interruptus: Michelle Obama Announces Best Picture Winner:
I had a family commitment tonight that went a little long, so I ended up missing the Oscars.
In case you missed it – like me – here’s the first lady’s intrusion (it reminded me of her cloying DNC speech)
Again with the corny and out of place “…. no matter who we are, what we look like or come from, or who we love” line that has become a favorite of the Obamas’ of late.
Here it is showing up a couple of weeks ago in Obama’s SOTU speech:
“It is our unfinished task to restore the basic bargain that built this
country – the idea that if you work hard and meet your responsibilities,
you can get ahead, no matter where you come from, what you look like,
or who you love.”
The line is being thrown out in every Obama speech lately (even at the Oscars) to promote their pro-gay marriage agenda.
The Obama Justice Department on Friday filed the first series of briefs that will lead to a major constitutional showdown at the Supreme Court over gay marriage.
Which is all well and good – let it play out in court. But please spare us the dopey propaganda at awards shows.
