A Sad Day in the Whovian World: Dalek Designer Dies

Ray Cusick, designer of the villain Daleks in the Doctor Who series died last Thursday. 

The Daleks are the most iconic of all Doctor Who villians.  (I think the Weeping Angels are scarier, but that’s just me.) The series will celebrate it’s 50th anniversary this year. 

Doctor Who actor and writer Mark Gatiss tweeted: “Farewell to the great Ray Cusick. His passing is especially sad in this anniversary year but his creation remains immortal. Daleks forever!”

Doctor Who returns to BBC America Saturday March 30 at 8pmET.  That day can not come fast enough for me.
