Prominent Black Leadership (Left and Right) and Illegal Immigration

On of my favorite blogs BookerRising.com offered this tweet a few days ago:

Why are illegal aliens more important to @CondoleezzaRice than the black USA citizens disproportionately affected by the law breakers?

I have a very strong opinion on the subject but I must admit my opinion is completely biased.  So, before I tackle the issue of illegal immigration, I’d like to know what you think about the question.
