CNN’s Carol Costello: ‘Disgraced David Petraeus’

As though it was a natural part of his name, CNN’s Carol Costello just referred to former-CIA Chief David Petraeus as “disgraced David Petraeus.”

No one’s excusing the fact that Petraeus betrayed his wife, but isn’t that a little harsh? Bill Clinton betrayed his wife … with a subordinate … … looked the country in the eye and lied … and then committed perjury to cover it up.   

No one refers to Bill Clinton as disgraced ex-President Clinton.

Petraeus did something disgraceful, no question, but insinuating that the man in full is “disgraced” seems a bit much.
