Republican Connie Mack Loses to Bill Nelson in Florida Senate Race

Per NBC News:

NBC News has declared Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson as the projected winner in the Florida Senate race.

With more than 4.5 million votes counted at 8 p.m., Sen. Nelson had 57 percent of the vote to Republican challenger Congressman Connie Mack IV ‘s 41 percent, according to the Florida Division of Elections.

Florida’s Senate race has taken a backseat to the presidential election, but a political analyst says it’s deeply connected to the battle for the White House.
