Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett Packard CEO and GOP presidential candidate, appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC following her announcement that she is running for president.
Meyers noted that someone had purchased CarlyFiorina.org. Instead of using it to promote her campaign, it shows how many people she laid off as CEO while at Hewlett Packard.
“Carly Fiorina failed to register this domain. So I’m using it to tell you how many people she laid off at Hewlett-Packard,” read a note on CarlyFiorina.org.
The site displays a page of frowning faces, captioned by: “That’s 30,000 people she laid off. People with families.”
Fiorina’s camp has been criticized for not buying up the domain.
Meyer’s drew attention to the topic, but Fiorina quickly shot back, “Do you know who owns SethMeyers.org?”
He responded, “Certainly have no idea.”
“I do, I just bought it in the green room actually… so you better be really nice to me tonight,” Fiorina said teasing Meyers.
Fiorina reportedly bought the domain for less than twenty dollars.
