Actor Jeff Bridges is jumping into the political waters, but it’s not what you think.
The Oscar winner will attend both upcoming political conventions to promote a cause dear to his heart – ending childhood hunger.
“Well, I don’t dig party lines, so I’m heading to both the Republican National Convention AND the Democratic National Convention to get people talking about an issue in our country that knows no party — childhood hunger,” Bridges writes on the group’s website. “I’ll be at both conventions, meeting with leaders, appearing on behalf of No Kid Hungry, and telling officials of both parties that America’s future depends on their supporting America’s kids today.”
Bridges’ impressive screen resume includes “The Last Picture Show,” “Starman,” “The Fabulous Baker Boys” and “Crazy Heart,” for which he won a Best Actor Oscar.
