The left-wing group Center for Popular Democracy Action has raised $80 million to support progressive anti-Trump movements across America, CNN reports.

At a spring gala event on Tuesday, the group will unveil their enormous funding effort to push back against the Trump administration’s agenda, seeking to influence policy and debate across the Democratic Party while supporting specific candidates for office.

On its website, the Center for Popular Democracy Action describes itself as “a high-impact national organization that builds organizing power to transform the local and state policy landscape through deep, long-term partnerships with leading community-based organizing groups nationwide.”

As a non-profit organization, it is also not required to disclose its donors, as it aims to “strengthen our collective capacity to envision and win an innovative pro-worker, pro-immigrant, racial and economic justice agenda.”

The group’s strategy will target 32 states across America, seeking to mobilize new voters by campaigning against tough voter ID laws and promoting voter registration programs in preparation for the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election.

Since Trump’s inauguration in January, a number of resistance movements have emerged, comprised of politicians, judges, mayors, comedians, actors ,and grassroots activists determined to halt the president’s agenda.

The most successful moment so far was the ruling of a Hawaii judge to block Donald Trump’s revised executive order temporarily closing U.S. borders to refugees and nationals from six Muslim-majority countries.

“The past four months has seen an unprecedented wave of activism and grassroots energy, but only with a long-term investment in organizing can we turn this moment into a movement,” DNC Chair Tom Perez told CNN in a statement. “I am excited that CPD Action is mobilizing their national network toward building political influence from the ground up.”
