Exclusive — Donald Trump: ‘Enemy Army’ Drug Cartel Ovens Covering Up Massacres Prove ‘Large Parts of Mexico’ a ‘Criminal Enterprise’

Billionaire Donald Trump, the 2016 GOP presidential frontrunner and winner of the New Hampshire GOP primaries, told Breitbart News exclusively on Thursday that it’s time the United States of America starting treating Mexican drug cartels as if they were an “enemy army” on the other side of the border.

“We need to treat the drug cartels as though they are an enemy army,” Trump said when asked how we need to handle the cartels in response an explosive new report from Breitbart Texas managing director Brandon Darby and Breitbart Texas reporter Idelfonso Ortiz.

“An enemy army,” Trump reiterated. “That’s how we ought to treat them.”

Darby’s report with Ortiz walked through how the cartels committed mass murders of hundreds—maybe thousands of people in cities and towns along Mexico’s border with the United States. Then, to cover up the mass executions, the cartels used a network of ovens to burn the bodies—hiding the evidence of their atrocities from their own government, which hasn’t done much to stop them, and the world.

Trump told Breitbart News on Thursday as he prepares to barnstorm South Carolina heading into that state’s GOP presidential primaries on February 20:

Large parts of Mexico is a criminal enterprise. When you look at the drugs that are flowing across the border and the illicit things that are happening at the border, Mexico—large parts of Mexico—are a major illicit business. It’s happening to an extent that people didn’t know until I brought it up. If I didn’t make my speech on June 16, when I talked about the illegal immigration and the crime at the border, we wouldn’t be talking about this today. You wouldn’t be asking me the question. And now the other day Cruz gets up and says ‘we must build a wall’—it’s the first time he’s ever said it. And then Rubio said ‘build a wall.’ Notice, now they all want to build a wall.

Darby and Ortiz reported the incredible discovery of the cartels’ network of ovens used to cover up their mass murders in a stunning exclusive from the Mexican state of Coahuila. Darby and Ortiz wrote in the exposé:

The Mexican Los Zetas cartel used a network of oven facilities to cover-up the systematic mass extermination of innocent people during the 2011-2013 period when the cartel had complete governmental control over most of the Mexican state of Coahuila. From the then-governor of Coahuila, down to the city jails, Los Zetas had complete control of every aspect of governmental process and of the lives of Mexican citizens–including news media. Their atrocities in Coahuila have remained largely unreported and undocumented by any governmental agencies—local, state, federal, or international.

What’s more, they wrote, a series of government officials were corrupt and working for the cartels—rather than for the people of Mexico—during this timeframe, something that hasn’t been widely explored by the media or the government there or the U.S. government. Trump’s focus on the issue is certain to the bring the cartels much unwanted attention. In fact, Trump’s decision to focus on the Mexican criminal networks has reportedly caused Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman to offer a $100 million bounty on Trump’s head.

“The world’s most wanted and most dangerous drug lord, Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman, is allegedly offering a US$100 million bounty for whoever delivers billionaire and Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump to him, dead or alive,” Latin American media outlet Telesur reported back in October.

El Chapo escaped from Mexican prisons at least three times; he was just recaptured in early 2016. During his latest breakaway from prison, El Chapo did an interview with Sean Penn for Rolling Stone magazine—an interview for which Penn faced considerable criticism.

Trump’s momentum on the campaign trail is undeniable, in large part because of his focus on issues like this—issues that have been virtually ignored by the rest of the candidates and by the media. A win in South Carolina for Trump would be difficult for many of Trump’s opponents to overcome. His decisive win in New Hampshire—where he received more than double the amount of votes of every single one of his opponents—came after a hard-fought second place finish in Iowa’s caucuses to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX). Trump is far and away the national polling leader and carries huge leads in most polls, in almost all individual states from here on out.

Trump confirmed in this interview with Breitbart News that he understands his pathway to victory—not just for the GOP nomination but for the general election, should he be so fortunate as to be the GOP nominee—rests with him remaining true to the core messages of his campaign: A brute force nationalist populism that he’s ridden to the top of the polls.

After Cruz’s stunning comeback victory in Iowa—where Trump was leading in final polling heading into election—Trump returned to the core messages of his campaign in New Hampshire and won a resounding victory. In the eight days between Iowa’s caucuses and New Hampshire’s primaries, Trump mostly focused on issues like trade policy, immigration policy, police issues, and national security matters—all mixed together with the economy—and that’s a pathway to success he plans to replicate heading into the final 10 days before South Carolina’s first-in-the-South GOP primary and Nevada’s first-in-the-West GOP caucuses a few days afterward.

Exit polls coming out of New Hampshire showed that vast majorities of voters agree with Trump’s positions on immigration—especially his call for a temporary ban on Muslim migration to America. More on that, and other topics, is forthcoming from Trump’s latest post-New Hampshire, pre-South Carolina exclusive interview with Breitbart News.
