Veteran pro-life activist Troy Newman, who runs Operation Rescue, isn’t being allowed to fly from the United States to Australia for a ten-city speaking tour related to the undercover baby-parts videos.
Newman is on the board of directors of the Center for Medical Progress and was instrumental in the undercover videos that have rocked Planned Parenthood and resulted in numerous legislative hearings both state and Congressional.
This afternoon Newman was removed from a United Airlines fight from Denver to Los Angeles and was told by a gate agent that the “Australian Embassy” had canceled his visa. The United agent told Newman the Australian Embassy told “us to stop you.” Newman has the exchange on video tape.
Newman said he and his wife were on the plane to L.A. when he was removed. Newman said his wife was allowed to stay on the flight but she also got off when he was stopped from flying.
Newman said, “The pro-abortion left in Australia does not want the people to hear the truth about the center for medical progress videos. It is clear that Planned Parenthood Federation of America does not want the truth to hit Austalia.”
Jeff Smisek, CEO of United Airlines, co-chaired a 2012 gala benefiting Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.
Newman is still trying to get to L.A. and hopes to still meet his speaking obligations in Australia. He is flying Southwest to L.A. this evening.
