Texas High School Teen Arrested for Building a Clock

An Irving, Texas, high school student has been arrested after making an electronic clock in a pencil case.

The 14-year-old showed the creation to an engineering teacher and then to an English teacher. The “clock” was confiscated after a teacher said it looked like a bomb.

Ahmen Mohamed was called to the school principal’s office and police were waiting for him. The police arrested Mohamed charged him with making a bomb hoax. This occurred despite no one claiming that he called the device anything other than a clock.

The school suspended Mohamed for three days. The police handcuffed and fingerprinted him and the “clock” remains in custody as evidence.
