On December 23, a home invader burst through a door in Memphis, Tennessee, and put a gun to a woman’s neck. He was then shot multiple times and killed.
According to WREG, 22-year-old Nico Carlisle and another suspect knocked on a door on the “2300 block of Devoy” around 6 p.m. When a woman went to the door, the two suspects forced their way into the house, and Carlisle put a gun to the woman’s neck.
At that point, the homeowner emerged–gun in hand–and shot Carlisle multiple times. Police arrived, found Carlisle “laying at the front door,” and pronounced him dead at the scene. The second suspect escaped and has yet to be identified.
A neighbor who witnessed the events unfold said he saw “some boys go over there next door, you know, trying to get up in their house.” He walked to his own door for a clearer view, and “that’s when [he] heard some shots.”
