First Biden-Harris CBP One Bus Delivers Migrants from Southern Mexico to U.S.

Mexico’s National Institute of Migration (INM) announced the arrival of the first bus of migrants under its new “Secure Emerging Mobility Corridor” program. The program offers migrants free transportation, including meals and security from the Mexico/Guatemala border to ports of entry in the United States, where they will be admitted under the Biden-Harris CBP One app.

26 Migrants Found Abandoned in Semi-Tractor-Trailer near Texas Border

Maverick County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from citizens reporting banging coming from an abandoned semi-trailer on the city’s outskirts early Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, deputies found 26 migrants sealed inside the abandoned trailer, gasping for air. The migrants had been loaded into the trailer by unknown persons who had fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement authorities.

With just over two months to go in the November presidential election, a Border Patrol report reveals a slight increase in the number of migrants apprehended after illegally crossing the southwest border between ports of entry in August. Agents assigned to the nine southwest Border Patrol sectors apprehended just over 58,000 migrants in August — up from 56,000 in July.

Biden-Harris Admin Negotiates Bus Passage Through Mexico for Migrants Using CBP-One ‘Asylum’ App

The latest development between the Biden/Harris administration and the government of Mexico on the immigration front will see migrants provided bussing from two southern Mexico cities to the United States border. The plan will provide the migrants headed to the United States with meals and security during travel from the two cities to the U.S. destination where the migrant’s asylum appointments are scheduled under the CBP-One application.

90-Year-Old Navy Veteran Killed in Brazen Daylight Carjacking in Texas

A 90-year-old Navy veteran was killed in front of his apartment complex by an unknown assailant who shot the man, stole his vehicle, and ran over the elderly man in Houston on Saturday. Police say they have yet to locate the assailant but found the man’s vehicle abandoned at another apartment complex several miles away. A search for the killer is currently underway.

GUILTY: CBP Officer Abducted, Sexually Assaulted Minor near Arizona Border

It took an Arizona jury two days of deliberation to reach a guilty verdict in the trial of former Customs and Border Protection Officer Aaron Mitchell. The jury found the man guilty of both a federal civil rights offense and a kidnapping charge related to the sexual assault and kidnapping of an Arizona middle school student. The jury also found that the defendant’s conduct included aggravated sexual abuse that resulted in bodily injury.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers discovered 17 migrants hidden inside a cloned semi-tractor trailer traveling away from the border in rural southwest Texas. A U.S. District Court judge sentenced a Philippine national to 30 years in federal prison for placing hidden cameras in cruise ship passenger bathrooms to film children. The United States Attorney’s office for the Southern District of Florida announced the sentencing on Wednesday of 34-year-old Arvin Joseph Mirasol for placing the hidden cameras since December 2023.

Texas DPS Colonel McCraw Announces Retirement After 15 Years as Director

Texas Department of Public Safety Director Colonel Steve McCraw announced on Friday he will retire from the agency at the end of the year. McCraw served as the agency’s director for the past 15 years. Under Governor Greg Abbott, McCraw headed up the state’s border security mission, Operation Lone Star.

10.1 Million Border Encounters Under Biden-Harris, Says House Committee

A factsheet report released by the House Committee on Homeland Security Republicans this week highlighted the more than 170,000 nationwide migrant encounters in July. According to the committee factsheet released on Wednesday, the total of nationwide encounters under the Biden-Harris administration climbed to 10.1 million. That total did not include the roughly two million known got-aways recorded by CBP since the start of fiscal year 2021.

A Texas Army National Guard soldier died in a two-vehicle crash near the border city of Eagle Pass on Tuesday. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officials identified the soldier as 44-year-old Jeremy Vance Randolph of Dallas, Texas. Texas Man Sentenced to 60 Years for Killing 8 Migrants near Border

A Texas jury sentenced George Alvarez, the driver who lost control of his vehicle, killing the migrants outside a homeless shelter in May 2023, to 60 years in prison. 118 Haitian Migrants Land on Florida Beach

A sailboat reached the shores of Key West, Florida, just before daybreak on Wednesday. In the early morning darkness, 118 Haitian migrants disembarked and made a break for the shoreline, according to the Border Patrol.
