The western world was shocked and horrified by news out of Sydney Australia, last week: Australia Raids Foil Beheading Plots:
Australian counterterrorism forces detained 15 people Thursday in a series of suburban raids after receiving intelligence that the Islamic State militant group was planning public beheadings in two Australian cities to demonstrate its reach.
Luckily, Aussie intelligence picked on the plot before it could be realized – “800 federal and state police officers raided more than a dozen properties across 12 Sydney suburbs as part of the operation — the largest in Australian history.”
Earlier this week, a spokesman for the Islamic murder cult ISIS, called on Muslims living in the West to kill civilians.
In a 42 minute recorded speech, Abu Muhammad Adnani “both taunted and threatened the U.S.-led coalition combating the Islamic State.”
The speech called on Muslims in the West to kill civilians in so-called lone wolf operations planned and executed by a single person.“Do not ask for anyone’s advice and do not seek anyone’s verdict,” Adnani said. “Kill the infidel, whether he is civilian or military.”
And today we have shocking news out of Moore, Oklahoma.
Oklahoma.
OKLAHOMA WOMAN BEHEADED BY MAN WHO TRIED TO ‘CONVERT CO-WORKERS TO ISLAM’
…a woman at an Oklahoma food-processing plant was beheaded by a co-worker who had “recently started trying to convert colleagues to Islam.”
The attack occurred Thursday in Moore, Oklahoma. Alton Nolen, the 30 year-old suspect, was shot and stopped by the company’s Chief Operating Officer, a reserve deputy who happened to be armed. The victim was 54-year-old Colleen Hufford.
The FBI is now on the case trying to determine whether this is an example of workplace violence as typified by your garden variety disgruntled ex-employee going “postal”, or workplace violence more on the order of the Fort Hood shooting, where Nidal Malik Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar!” as he opened fire in the Soldier Readiness Center, killing 13 people and wounding 29 others. Earlier this month, he reached out to ISIS in an attempt to join them from prison.
Via Fox News:
The alleged suspect, Alton Nolen, 30, was recently fired from Vaughan Foods in Moore prior to Thursday’s attack.
Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KFOR that Nolen drove to the front of the business and struck a vehicle before walking inside. He then attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, stabbing her several times before severing her head. He also stabbed another woman at the plant, 43-year-old Traci Johnson.
Lewis said Mark Vaughan, the company’s chief operating officer and a reserve county deputy, shot Nolen as he was stabbing Johnson, who remains hospitalized in stable condition Friday.Nolen was apparently attacking employees at random, authorities said. The motive for the attack is unclear, but FBI officials are now reportedly probing whether Nolen’s recent conversion to Islam is somehow linked to the crime.
Probably a stretch, I know.
