Al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine has run a picture of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) tram with an single occupant and the caption: “Assemble your bomb.”
The photo and caption together “have set off alarms on Capitol Hill as the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing approaches,” the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
According to SFGate.com, House Committee on Homeland Security member Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) says he was disturbed by the photo. And he noted that the phrase “Assemble your bomb” was only part of a larger caption that was very troubling.
The entire caption says: “For how long will you live in tension? Instead of just sitting, having no solution, simply stand up. Pack your tools of destruction. Assemble you bomb, ready for detonation.”
Swalwell said San Francisco’s airport “was one of the largest international airports in the world, certainly one of the largest on the West Coast, and thousands of passengers a day use the tram to connect from BART to the airport.”
