Former United States Secretary of State and U.S. senator Hillary Clinton has announced she will be in Hollywood on Oct. 20 for an exclusive fundraiser to benefit the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Co-chairs for the Grassroots Victory Project event include director Steven Spielberg, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, Live Nation’s Michael Rapino and Andy Spahn, and longtime Clinton supporter Casey Wasserman.
Senators Michael Bennet, Dianne Feinstein, and Barbara Boxer will also be there to show their support for the former first lady.
The official invitation issues a warning that RSVPs must be secured by Thursday, Oct. 16 because space is limited. Entry to the event and reception costs $32,400 per person, and the package reportedly comes with photo opportunities.
President Obama was in Los Angeles on Oct. 9 for a fundraiser that benefitted the Democratic National Committee at actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s Brentwood estate.
It was in her backyard that the President told his Hollywood supporters:
“Most of the gains in our economy go to the folks who are in this lovely yard–and the average person has not seen their wages or incomes go up in the last 20 years.”
Clinton plans to make her way to Los Angeles in less than a week for what some speculate as a coming out for a potential run for president in 2016.
