A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds that over two-thirds (67%) of Americans say President Barack Obama must substantially change the direction he is leading the nation, including 47% of Democrats who say they want Obama to substantially change how he leads and manages America’s affairs. Only 12% of Democrats said Obama should not change his leadership approach.
The findings come as Americans have expressed outrage over what they perceive to be rudderless leadership and lackluster engagement by a president who has golfed over 200 times while in office and whom the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) revealed has only attended 42% of his daily intelligence briefings.
The poll also found that Americans overwhelmingly reject the direction the Obama administration has gone on Ebola quarantines. A full 71% of Americans say they back quarantines for health care workers returning from assisting Ebola patients in West Africa.
The poll found that Obama’s approval rating has slumped to just 42%.
Voters head to the polls tomorrow.
