Thursday at her weekly press briefing, House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) declared former FBI Director James Comey’s testimony shows President Donald Trump’s “pattern of contempt for justice” and that “disgraces the office of the president.”
Pelosi said, “I think we saw confirmation in Director Comey’s resolute testimony detailing the frightening reality of President Trump’s pattern of contempt for justice. His pattern of concerted and inexcusable efforts to shut down the FBI’s investigation of his cronies’ ties to Russia and all of that, I think, disgraces the office of the president. The president may not realize that, but maybe I have more respect for the office of the president than he does.”
