Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated he was “really using stuff that he said” in his criticisms of fellow GOP candidate Dr. Ben Carson and that he hopes Carson isn’t mentally off on Wednesday’s “Mark Levin Show.”
Trump was asked about Politico’s stories about Carson and “using stuff they said against Carson.” Trump said he was “really using stuff that he said, though. In all fairness, forget Politico, you know Ben was talking about, I guess he wrote a book, probably before he thought he was going to run for office, to be honest with you. … And he talked about pathological disease. And he talked about hitting his mother — you know, wanting to hit his mother over the head with a hammer. You know, I never had those thoughts, in all fairness.”
After Trump was asked, “you don’t think he’s mentally off, do you?” He responded, “I hope not. I don’t know.”
Trump added that he likes Carson and the two are friendly with each other when they meet at the debates.
