Schweizer: Clinton Set Up Server To Hide ‘Blurring’ Between Private Clinton Activity and State Dept Business

Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer and author of “Clinton Cash,” Peter Schweizer argued Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton set up her private server because “what she primarily wanted to hide, or at least one of the most important things she wanted to hide is the fact that she was blurring the private commercial activity of the Clintons, her husband Bill and his speaking fees, the activities and the fundraising of the Clinton Foundation, and official State Department business” on Wednesday’s “Sean Hannity Show.”

Schweizer said, “I think the larger question too, of course, is why did she set this up. And of course, she set it up because she wanted to hide things. And I think what she primarily wanted to hide, or at least one of the most important things she wanted to hide is the fact that she was blurring the private commercial activity of the Clintons, her husband Bill and his speaking fees, the activities and the fundraising of the Clinton Foundation, and official State Department business. I call it the Clinton blur. And I think the emails are showing that that’s precisely what was going on. I mean, you’ve got an email from Kris Balderston, who was a senior official in the State Department appointed by Hillary, he’s kind of always been the Clinton’s fixer. He’s the one that keeps the list of people who are on the bad list, and people who are Clinton allies, he had a senior State Department official, and there are emails showing him coordinating Hillary and steering funds to Clinton Global Initiative events, where he’s actually encouraging and getting foreign governments to contribute to Clinton Global Initiative projects. And that’s something — just one example of what we’re talking about. And it raises of course big questions, not just about ethics, but actually legal questions, because you’re not supposed to be using government resources and government positions for the benefit of any outside entity, that includes charities.”

Schweizer stated that Bill Clinton’s desire to speak in the Congo and North Korea shows “they’re willing to entertain that. The whole heart of the question of are the Clintons for sale? They were considering taking these funds from these two reprehensible regimes and these countries, and it really just raises questions, of course again, about their judgement, and precisely what the purpose of those speaking fees are. I would argue that they’re really influence payments.” He also said that the only explanations for the rise in Bill Clinton’s speaking fees after Hillary became secretary of state are that Bill became much more eloquent, or “these are foreign entities trying to influence the Clintons, and Bill is happy to take the money.”

He later said that Hillary Clinton “goes into lawyer mode” whenever she talks about her emails, but that she was clearly lying about whether she sent or received anything marked classified. Schweizer added, “there are communications that she is going to have with foreign officials, with intelligence officials, and others, that are by definition going to be classified.” And “Hillary Clinton and anybody in the national security apparatus gets a briefing when they first come into office explaining that very fact to them. It’s the nature of the work that she does. And so, this sort of notion that they’ve created, that, well, it wasn’t classified at the time that I sent it, if you as a secretary of state send something to the foreign minister of the United Kingdom about a sensitive matter, it’s already classified, and Hillary Clinton knows that.”

Schweizer further said that because of Clinton’s time in the Senate, “she knows very clearly, when you’re dealing with intelligence information like satellite information, that information is quite classified.”

He also pointed out that Clinton’s private email account was only discovered after a hacker hit Sidney Blumenthal’s email account, and asked, “Do we really believe that [the hacker], once he realized that Hillary Clinton had a private email account, he didn’t try to hack it, or he didn’t share that information with other hackers? I think it’s highly, highly unlikely.”

Schweizer concluded that foreign governments would clearly hack Clinton’s server, and would “hold on to them” and “hope she’s elected president, because now they have leverage, and they can threaten to reveal things and expose things unless they get what they want from her.”]
