Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) declared the removal of Cuba from the state sponsor of terror list “a terrible mistake” in an interview broadcast on Tuesday’s “Kelly File” on the Fox News Channel.
“It’s a terrible mistake. I mean, Cuba is a country that harbors fugitives of American justice, including a cop killer, including somebody on the Ten Most Wanted List by the FBI, including multiple fugitives that fled with Medicare dollars that they stole. It’s a country that helped North Korea evade UN sanctions. It’s a country that has two high military officials indicted in federal court for the murder of US citizens in international airspace. That sounds like a terrorist government to me. He’s made a terrible mistake” he stated.
