Sen Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said that Republicans should “listen to people like John McCain and Lindsey Graham” regarding DHS funding on Tuesday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC.
After touting the trustworthiness and competence of law enforcement charged with protecting the Mall of America, Klobuchar said “what concerns me is, a lot of funds that go into protecting that mall are through the Department of Homeland Security, for first responder grants, for federal law enforcement, and obviously we need to fund this. And I hope that my Republican colleagues will listen to people like [Sen.] John McCain (R-AZ) and [Sen.] Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who have said that the Texas judge made a decision to hold up the president’s executive order, I don’t agree with that decision, but that’s being battled in the courts. Let’s pass the funding for Homeland Security” she stated.
