LOWELL, Mass.—Samson lost strength after a haircut. Des Green gained strength after one.
Hitting the scales a half-pound over the 145-pound featherweight limit last week called for desperate measures. So Green gave himself an impromptu haircut, lopping off about thirty of his dreadlocks.
“Don’t worry dreads,” Green told his fallen locks before his fight. “I’m going to avenge you.”
The unconventional weight cut by haircut succeeded. Green made the 145-pound limit and then won Titan FC’s inaugural featherweight championship bout.
Fresh off a 46-second demolition of former WEC champion Miguel Torres, Bryant put on a more gritty and less flashy performance against UFC vet Steven Siler on Friday night by relying on wrestling and brutal knees to score the unanimous decision win.
Breitbart Sports caught up to Green early Saturday morning after his unanimous decision victory over Siler at Titan FC’s Lowell, Massachusetts, card.
