Geena Davis’ husband files for divorce after 16 years of marriage

May 9 (UPI) — Oscar-winning actress Geena Davis is headed for divorce.

TMZ reported the 62-year-old star’s husband, Reza Jarrahy, filed for divorce Tuesday after 16 years of marriage.

Jarrahy cited irreconcilable differences for the split, according to People. He listed Nov. 15, 2017, as his date of separation from Davis, with whom he shares 16-year-old daughter Alizeh and 13-year-old twin sons Kaiis and Kian.

Jarrahy is seeking spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of the children. He is also requesting the judge deny spousal support to Davis.

Davis and Jarrahy married in September 2001 after a nine-month engagement. Davis was previously wed to Richard Emmolo, Jeff Goldblum and Renny Harlin.

“Reza is so different from the kind of men I used to be with,” the actress told Good Housekeeping in 2006.

“I wasn’t nervous at all,” she said of marrying a fourth time. “I really did feel that I had turned a corner, that I had pulled off changes that were real and permanent … It’s like I discovered a whole other way to live.”
