LOVELAND, Colo., April 2 (UPI) — A Colorado patient has been isolated in a hospital with Ebola-like symptoms, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said.
The patient, who recently traveled to an Ebola-affected country, was taken to a Colorado hospital in a specially equipped ambulance after exhibiting symptoms, which include fever, rash and chest pain, public health officials said
“While the patient is considered to be at low risk of infection with the Ebola virus, the patient is in an isolated and secure area away from other patients, staff and visitors during the evaluation process. Medical Center of the Rockies is taking all possible precautions to ensure the safety of other patients, visitors and staff,” the health department said.
