Commissioner Thomas Rasch of the Superior Court of Alameda County ordered Antifa leader Yvette Felarca to pay the attorney’s fees of the former president of the Berkeley College Republicans, Troy Worden.

Felarca leads Berkeley’s By Any Means Necessary (BAMN).

The order comes in light of “factually unsupported claims” made in court against Worden.

According to Hot Air, Felarca filed papers for a temporary restraining order against Worden in September 2017, claiming “he had harassed and stalked her.” The next month she dropped everything instead of pursuing a permanent restraining order. Felarca’s attorney suggested a permanent order was unnecessary because Worden’s behavior had changed.

But when the temporary restraining order was lifted, Worden claimed that Felarca had not pursued a permanent order because her claims were baseless to begin with, that her claims were politically motivated. Campus Reform reported:

“I feel vindicated by the termination of the temporary restraining order placed on me by Yvette Felarca of By Any Means Necessary and the dismissal of the permanent restraining she was pursuing just this week,” Worden told Campus Reform.

“Felarca’s frivolous legal actions were meant to intimidate me and hinder my political activism, but also prevented me from going to class on occasion,” he continued. “I can now go on with my main purpose at UC Berkeley which is to get an education and exercise my free speech rights without interference.”

Commissioner Rasch became convinced that Felarca lacked evidence to back up her claims and ordered her to pay $11,000 in attorney’s fees. Rasch said, “Felarca and her fellow travelers in BAMN/Antifa need to learn that the California courts are not their personal plaything to use and abuse at will by filing baseless and vexatious lawsuits.”
