On October 30 High Bridge Arms–San Francisco’s last gun shop–sold it’s last gun to a 70-year-old customer named Elliott Isenberg for “$1,221.25.”
The was a classic Colt 1911 chambered in .45.
On September 28 Breitbart News reported that the owners of High Bridge Arms were calling it quits in light of the relentless gun control push coming from city supervisors. For example, although San Francisco already has laws regulating everything from magazine capacity to allowable types of ammunition to limits on advertising to the manner in which guns must be stored–and beyond, Supervisor Mark Farrell (Dist. 2) is now pushing to require all gun sales to be video recorded.
And according to SFist, Farrell’s push would also “further require that all gun and ammunition buyers’ names, birthdates, addresses and driver’s license numbers be supplied to the San Francisco Police Department. Sup. Farrell proposed the idea in July, and it may be voted on this month.”
So the owners of High Bridge Arms have closed their doors instead of continuing to jump through the seemingly endless hoops being put in place for law-abiding citizens and law-abiding businesses in San Francisco.
