Two people are dead and four wounded after multiple shots were fired at the annual Juice Bowl Thanksgiving Day football game in Louisville, Kentucky.
Fox News reports that the Juice Bowl is a game for youth, held in the city’s Shawnee Park.
Louisville’s WDRB writes that police received emergency calls about the shooting incident around 1:30 p.m. They arrived to find the football game canceled and are still looking for witnesses who can help them piece together what happened. No arrests have been made.
The two deceased individuals were both black males, who were pronounced dead at the scene. The four wounded individuals had “non-life-threatening injuries.”
One Juice Bowl coach said, “There are people who won’t make it home to the Thanksgiving table.”
