Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted rivals Donald Trump and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), accusing them both of supporting bans on guns.
“Did you know that my two leading opponents have supported banning guns?” Cruz said in Perry, Georgia on Saturday.
Soon after Cruz made the claim, his national press secretary Catherine Frazier tweeted that as Florida House Speaker, Rubio worked against a bill to expand gun rights.
“As FL House Spkr Rubio worked against bill to expand gun rights, to allow law-abiding citizens to leave guns in cars at work,” Frazier tweeted. “As a West Miami Commissioner, Rubio voted to ban guns in parks.”
