Hillary Super PAC Leaks Dirt on Biden to Politico, New York Times

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s operatives are digging up dirt about her potential primary challenger, Joe Biden, and leaking it to the press.

David Brock, founder of the pro-Clinton super PAC Correct the Record, is overseeing a massive anti-Biden opposition research effort, New York Magazine reports.

A source confirmed that Correct the Record is behind recent press attacks on Biden’s character and record.

The New York Times‘ report on Biden’s links to Wall Street banks had similar information to the kind being dug up by Brock’s opposition researchers. And Politico’s odd, barely-reported article dredging up Biden’s controversial stint overseeing the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court confirmation hearings was also the work of Brock.

Brock, the founder of Media Matters For America and a leading anti-Republican smear merchant, is right at home in Clinton-World. His mentor Sidney Blumenthal ran a crack oppo-research shop for Clinton in 2008, circulating opposition research about then-Senator Barack Obama. It is believed that the Clintonites started rumors that Obama was not born in the United States.
